Big Island Country Club
This Pete and Perry Dye course is located in the mountains above the Kahola coast courses. #17 is an island green par three that will remind you of TPC Sawgrass. When the wind is blowing at the beach courses head to the mountains and try this gem.
Hamakua Country Club
This 9 hole golf course will let you enjoy golf with the locals.
Hapuna Prince Golf Course
The Hapuna Price Golf Course is also located at the Mauna Kea Resort which is arguably the best 36 holes of Big Island Golf. This course was designed by Arnold Palmer and features target golf with plenty of water hazards with the views of the Mauna Kea volcano.
Hilo Municipal Golf Course
The only municipal course on Hawaii. It is popular with the Hilo locals and offers a value play for visitors. If you hate sandtraps try this golf course – they don’t have any.
Hokulia Golf Club
The only private, ocean-side golf course on the Big Island. This Jack Nicklaus Signature Course features ocean views from every hole.
Hualalai Golf Club
This is the first Jack Nicklaus design golf course on the Big Island. It is a private course for members, their guests, and the guests of the Four Seasons Resort.
Kona Country Club
Located in Keauhou above the scenic Kona Coast Kona Country Club offers both an Ocean course and a Mountain course.
Kukio Golf & Beach Club
Tom Fazio’s only Hawaii golf course. This exclusive private golf club on the Kona-Kohala coast has both an 18 hole championship course and a 10 hole short game course.
Makalei Hawaii Country Club
Mountain golf in Hawaii offers unbeatable weather and views as well as a variety of lies and stances.
Mauna Kea Golf Course
This breathtaking Robert Trent Jones, Jr. golf course will challenge golfers of all abilities. Be prepared for the wind which can turn an eight iron into a 3-wood without notice. Hole #11 is a par three that requires a tee shot from one cliff, over the Pacific Ocean to the green green on the opposite cliff.
Mauna Lani Resort
This resort offers two courses, the North and South. One is tree lined while the other is lined with lava.
Naniloa Country Club
This daily fee 9 hole course is frequented by the Hilo locals.
Sea Mountain Golf Course
Reasonably priced golf with reasonably priced conditions with scenic views typically found in unreasonably priced places.
Volcano Golf and Country Club
Set on the slopes on Mauna Loa next to Volcanoes National Park this course offers spectacular views.
Waikoloa Beach Course
Beach views and lava flows highlight the scenery of this oceanfront golf course.
Waikoloa Kings Course
This Tom Weiskopf design features 6 lakes and 75 bunkers.
Waikoloa Village Golf Club
This relaxed course is popular with local golfers and is one of the Big Islands best kept secrets. The course is not as challenging as some of the resort courses but you’ll be amazed at the conditions of there fairways and greens.
Waimea Country Club
A Scottish Links designed golf course located in the comfortable, cool upcountry. Not your typical Hawaiian course.
